The M8 is a 75 mm self-propelled howitzer developed by the United States during the Second World War. The M8 was based on the M5 light tank, but underwent several modifications. Like the M5 Light Tank, the M8 had a crew of four people: the commander, gunner, driver and assistant driver/loader. When the M8 was in action, the Commanding Officer would position himself at the anti-aircraft machine gun and direct his crew, the gunner would sit in the turret on the right side of the howitzer, the assistant driver/loader would move from his seat in the right forward hull, and the driver would remain in his position.in its arsenal.
