A young gentleman named Bob Bianchi acquired this custom Blazer via a Penny Saver newspaper ad in 1971, buying it out of a warehouse in the Los Angeles suburbs for $1,800.00, and the Bianchi family has retained it ever since. Later research by Bianchi discovered the Steve McQueen/Solar Productions origins as one of several purchased for the Baja desert race program. Accompanying the sale was a copy of the original dealer invoice from December 1969 showing Steve McQueen/Solar Productions as the first purchaser of this 1970 K5. When delivered, the Blazer was reportedly set up as a support vehicle for the actual off-road race, getting a front posi traction differential installed and a swap to a four-headlamp GMC grille to allow better light coverage in the desert night.

Features include:
• Diecast Body
• Opening Doors, Hood, and Tailgate
• Removable Top
• Poseable Steering
• Fully Detailed Interior
• Plumbed and Wired Engine
• Custom Dual Exhaust
• Detailed Chassis
• NEW 33'' Offroad Tires
• NEW Roll Bar
• NEW Drop Hitch

https://passiondiecast.com/products/1970-chevrolet-k5-blazer-celebrity-owned-limited-edition-600-piece-acme-118-a1807712
