Sukhoi Su-27SK "Siberian Tiger" 11027, The First Div. of PLAAF, 2001
Hobby Master 1:72 HA6026
The Sukhoi Su-27SK “Siberian Tiger” 11027, representing the 1st Division of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) in 2001, captures one of the most impressive heavy fighters in Chinese military aviation at the beginning of the 21st century.
Originally developed by the Soviet Union to challenge Western fighters such as the F-15 Eagle, the Su-27 Flanker quickly earned an outstanding reputation for its combination of power, range, maneuverability, and weapons capability. The Su-27SK was the single-seat export version of the Flanker, with China becoming one of its most important foreign operators.
The introduction of the Su-27 into PLAAF service during the early 1990s represented a major step in the modernization of Chinese air power. Powered by two formidable Saturn AL-31F turbofan engines, and combining excellent range with beyond-visual-range combat capability, the Flanker provided China with a dramatic increase in fighter performance.
Aircraft 11027 is especially striking thanks to its distinctive “Siberian Tiger” camouflage, featuring irregular patterns that give this Flanker an unmistakable appearance. Represented with the PLAAF’s 1st Division in 2001, it captures an important period when China was rapidly modernizing its frontline fighter force.
Despite its considerable size, the Su-27 is also renowned for extraordinary agility. Its advanced aerodynamic design allows dramatic high-angle-of-attack maneuvers, helping establish the Flanker family’s legendary reputation worldwide.
Recreated in 1:72 scale by Hobby Master, HA6026 showcases the imposing profile of the Su-27SK, distinctive “Siberian Tiger” camouflage, PLAAF markings, and operational configuration with outstanding display presence.
Flanker + PLAAF + “Siberian Tiger” camouflage: a spectacular combination featuring one of the most formidable fighters of the late Cold War and modern Chinese aviation.
