The GMC CCKW353 2.5-ton cargo truck, commonly known as the "Deuce and a Half", was first used as a work vehicle during World War II and continues to serve today in many variations. The reliable 2.5-ton cargo truck is capable of carrying up to 10,000 lbs of freight and offers a range of up to 500 miles on a single 50-gallon fuel tank. Numerous specialized variants of the basic 6Ã-6 CCKW have been built, some in small numbers, some converted in the field.
