Lockheed F-16B Fighting Falcon
RTAF 403rd FS, Thailande, + decal sheet
HM 1:72 HA38075b
The Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) F-16A Fighting Falcon entered service in the late 1980s to modernize Thailand's air defense. Purchased from the United States, these single-seat fighters were assigned to squadrons at Takhli and Udon Thani Air Bases. The F-16A brought supersonic speed, agility, and multirole capability, including air-to-air interception, ground attack, and close air support. Over time, the RTAF upgraded avionics, radar, and weapons systems to extend operational effectiveness. The F-16A fleet has participated in national air defense, training, and joint regional exercises, playing a key role in Thailand's modern air combat capability and deterrence posture.

Lockheed F-16A Fighting Falcon
Designed by General Dynamics as a lightweight, daytime USAF air-combat fighter, the F-16 was first flown on January 20th, 1974. This single-engine, supersonic aircraft has, over the years, evolved into a multirole aircraft. It has a frameless bubble canopy-giving its pilot superior visibility-and it uses advanced aerodynamics. The F-16 was one of the first designs to use a relaxed static stability/fly-by-wire system, which helps it pull 9-g maneuvers and achieve speeds of more than Mach 2. Called "Viper" by its pilots, the F-16 is considered one of the most successful aircraft designs of the Cold War, with 4,400+ aircraft built since 1976.
