Air Canada Airbus A340-500 C-GKOM – JC Wings 1:200 – XX20212

This JC Wings 1:200 scale collectible reproduces the Air Canada Airbus A340-500, registration C-GKOM, fleet number 952, in the airline's distinctive maple-leaf livery.

A short but remarkable chapter in Air Canada's history

Delivered new in June 2004, C-GKOM was one of only two Airbus A340-500 aircraft operated by Air Canada. Designed for ultra-long-haul flights, the type supported nonstop routes from Toronto to destinations in Asia, including Hong Kong, Shanghai and Delhi.

As fuel costs rose and more economical twin-engine aircraft such as the Boeing 777-200LR entered service, Air Canada retired C-GKOM in November 2007 after roughly three years. The aircraft later flew for Brazil's TAM Linhas Aéreas under registration PT-MSL.
