ANA All Nippon Airways Boeing 747-400D “Ohana Jumbo” JA8956 – JC Wings 1:200 – XX20270

Celebrate an iconic Japanese airliner with this detailed JC Wings 1:200 collectible of ANA Boeing 747-400D JA8956, known as the Pokémon “Ohana Jumbo”. Its striking blue fuselage features colorful Pokémon characters and flowers, with a large Pikachu on the yellow tail.

The legendary Pokémon Jet

Introduced in its special Pokémon livery in 2004, the aircraft became a favourite with families and aviation enthusiasts. The name “Ohana Jumbo” references flowers, a theme prominent throughout its colourful design.

Built for Japan's busy domestic routes

The Boeing 747-400D was a domestic high-capacity variant developed for Japan's intensive short-haul network. Unlike the standard 747-400, it lacked winglets and was adapted for frequent takeoff and landing cycles. Aircraft of this type could carry over 500 passengers on high-demand routes from Tokyo-Haneda to destinations such as Sapporo, Osaka and Okinawa.

Retirement and preservation

JA8956 was withdrawn from commercial service on November 30, 2012, after approximately 20 years of operations. The aircraft was subsequently sent to the United States for dismantling. Its original flight deck was later preserved and transported to the United Kingdom in 2019, where it was restored for use as a public-access Boeing 747 simulator.

Promotional setting

The Passion Diecast promotional montage depicts Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND / RJTT). The airport scene is an artistic illustration, while the original supplier photographs show the miniature itself.
