Qantas Boeing 747-400 “Wunala Dreaming” VH-OEJ (GE Engines) – JC Wings 1:200 – XX20377

This JC Wings 1:200 collectible reproduces the iconic Qantas Boeing 747-400 VH-OEJ in the spectacular Aboriginal-art-inspired “Wunala Dreaming” livery, with General Electric (GE) engines. The vivid red fuselage features colourful traditional motifs celebrating Australia's cultural heritage.

Qantas' final Queen of the Skies

Named “Wunala”, VH-OEJ was the last Boeing 747 to depart the Qantas fleet, bringing almost 50 years of Jumbo Jet operations with the Flying Kangaroo to an end.

The farewell flight — July 22, 2020

As the pandemic accelerated Qantas' 747 retirement, VH-OEJ departed Sydney on July 22, 2020, operating QF7474 to the United States. After a farewell flypast over Sydney, its flight path traced the outline of a giant kangaroo above the Pacific Ocean before continuing toward the aircraft's final storage destination in the Mojave Desert.

An iconic special livery

During approximately 17 years of service, VH-OEJ became especially memorable for its striking “Wunala Dreaming” artwork, inspired by Aboriginal Australian art. It subsequently returned to standard Qantas colours and also displayed promotional markings celebrating Australian sport, including the Socceroos.
