Historical context
Little Rock Air Force Base records that C-130 56-0518 carried 452 people, including 32 in the cockpit, from Tan Son Nhut to Thailand on April 29, 1975. The aircraft had been transferred to the South Vietnamese Air Force in 1972. The model photographs show the abbreviated USAF tail number 60518; the depicted USAF finish should not be taken as a reconstruction of the markings on that evacuation flight. The promotional image depicts the model in flight over an evocative Southeast Asian landscape. It is an artistic interpretation, not an archival photograph or an exact reconstruction of the evacuation. Scenery is not included. AI-generated images may differ from the actual product; please also refer to the original product photographs.
Please note:
These products may have slight imperfections due to the manufacturing process, which do not affect their functionality, use, or value. This may include: minor imperfections in the finish, accessories, color variations, alignment of decorative strips, small spots or flaws in the paint, and minor defects on the packaging. It is rare to find models that are completely free of defects, especially in the low and mid-range, so these details are considered normal and part of the manufacturing process and are not covered by our return policy.
