After 30 years of service, the Blackbird still looks like a 21st century plane. The SR-71 mission was strategic reconnaissance. One of the fastest aircraft ever built, it has reached a top speed of over 2200 mph at an altitude of 80,000 feet. At that altitude, the crew had to wear special pressurized suites and helmets and required 100% oxygen to survive. Due to its unique appearance and technological achievements, this aircraft is a favorite among aviation enthusiasts. This die-cast metal model comes in 1: 200 ladder with plastic backing and is about 6 3/16 inches long with 3 3/16 inch wingspan
