Qantas Boeing 747-400ER VH-OEJ “Wunala Dreaming” (GE Engines) – JC Wings 1:400 – XX40492

A remarkable collector's miniature from JC Wings in 1:400 scale, depicting the Qantas Boeing 747-400ER VH-OEJ in its spectacular red “Wunala Dreaming” Aboriginal-art-inspired livery and fitted with General Electric engines.

The Extended Range 747 with GE engines

Unlike many earlier Qantas Boeing 747-400 aircraft equipped with Rolls-Royce RB211 engines, VH-OEJ was a Boeing 747-400ER (Extended Range), a longer-range version developed for Qantas. It featured four General Electric CF6-80C2B5F engines. This distinction is particularly important for aviation collectors seeking an accurate representation of this aircraft.

The iconic Wunala Dreaming livery

Delivered in 2003, VH-OEJ became famous for its brilliant red Wunala Dreaming special livery, decorated with vibrant Aboriginal-inspired artwork. Its distinctive fuselage and GE-powered configuration made it one of the most recognizable Qantas Jumbo Jets.

A sought-after collector's subject

The combination of VH-OEJ, the original red Wunala Dreaming scheme and General Electric engines is especially appealing to enthusiasts of historic airline liveries and scale aircraft. The JC Wings model captures this remarkable chapter of Australian aviation in a compact 1:400 format.
