Horst Perez was a notable pilot during World War II, flying the Messerschmitt Bf 109E, one of the most iconic German fighter aircraft of the war. Perez, of German and Spanish descent, served as part of the Legion Condor, a volunteer unit made up of German pilots who supported Franco's Nationalist forces during the Spanish Civil War.
