The Boeing Company is an American multinational corporation that designs, manufactures, and sells airplanes, rotorcraft, rockets, satellites, and missiles worldwide. The company also provides leasing and product support services.

Boeing 727-200 N7270L was the prototype for the stretched 727-200 series, first flying on 27 July 1967. It played a key role in flight testing, certification, and performance evaluation of the larger 727 variant. After initial test flights, it was re-registered as N3182B and eventually delivered to Olympic Airways as SX-CBF, named Mount Taygetus, in 1971. The aircraft served with Olympic's fleet for over two decades before retirement in 1992. Its final use was as a fire-training airframe at Ellinikon Airport, where it was scrapped in 2003, closing the chapter on the first 727-200.
