Designed as a twin-engine wide-body airliner to compete with the Airbus A330/A340 and McDonnell Douglas MD-11, the 777 made its first flight on June 12, 1994. A pair of the world's largest diameter turbofan engines power the aircraft that currently holds the record for the world's largest twin-engine airliner. The 777 was Boeing's first wired airliner with full glass cockpit displays and flight domain protection. The standard versions have a range of 4,200 nautical miles, the extended-range (ER) versions can fly 6,600 nautical miles and the long-range (LR) version is the longest long-haul passenger aircraft in the world capable of flying 7,800 nautical miles.
Die-cast metal construction, including wing and tail surfaces.
Realistic panel lines, antennas, access panels and surface details.
Pad-printed markings and placards that will not fade or flake like decals.
Metal landing gear with permanent extension and rubber wheels.
Presentation stand to present the aircraft "in flight".
