Antonov An-124

Antonov Airlines is a Ukrainian cargo airline formed as a division of Antonov Aviation Company. Based at Hostomel Airport near Kiev, it operates international charter services in the outsize cargo market. The Antonov An-225 Mriya (Dream) was a strategic cargo aircraft designed by the Antonov Design Bureau in the Ukrainian SSR of the Soviet Union in the 1980s. Originally, this unique aircraft was developed as an expansion of the Antonov An-124 to carry Buran-class orbiters. After successfully completing its Soviet military missions, it was mothballed for eight years. It was then refurbished and reintroduced into commercial operations with Antonov Airlines, carrying oversized payloads. Although a second airframe with a slightly different configuration was partially built, construction was interrupted more than once due to lack of funding and interest.
