The Dassault Mirage 2000N is a nuclear strike variant of the Mirage 2000. It is based on the two-seat Mirage 2000B trainer, but features considerable modifications to enable low-altitude terrain-following navigation. It can carry an ASMP medium-range nuclear missile, as well as two MATRA Magic AAMs for self-defense. As the extra seat reduces range, a pair of large 2,000-liter (530 US gallon) drop tanks are usually carried.

Dassault Mirage 2000N

The Dassault Mirage 2000 is a French multirole, single-engine fourth-generation jet fighter manufactured by Dassault Aviation. It was designed in the late 1970s as a lightweight fighter to replace the Mirage III for the French Air Force (Armee de l'air). The Mirage 2000 evolved into a multirole aircraft with several variants developed, with sales to a number of nations. The Mirage 2000B is a two-seat operational conversion trainer variant which first flew on 11 October 1980. The French Air Force acquired 30 Mirage 2000Bs, and all three fighter wings each obtained several of them for conversion training.
