Trans World Airlines, founded in 1930 as Transcontinental & Western Air, was a major player in American commercial aviation, known for its pioneering role in transatlantic travel and its innovative service. The airline distinguished itself through its technical advancements and its iconic TWA Flight Center in New York. In the 1950s, TWA, alongside Pan American World Airways, was one of only two American airlines serving Europe. After being acquired by financier Carl Icahn in 1985 and facing several financial difficulties, including bankruptcies in 1992 and the tragedy of TWA Flight 800 in 1996, the airline was ultimately acquired by American Airlines in 2001.

The Boeing 727-100, registered as N851TW and nicknamed “Twin Globes,” was an iconic three-engine jet in the TWA fleet during the 1960s and 1970s. Featuring the famous white livery with red stripes and the “Twin Globes” logo, this aircraft played a central role in U.S. domestic air travel and remains an iconic symbol of TWA’s history.

The Gemini Jets 400 series includes collector's models designed for collectors by collectors.
  • a Die-cast metal construction, including the wings
  • Realistic panel lines, access panels and surface details.
  •  Printed markings and closets that do not fade or peel like stickers.
  • Extended metal landing gear and rubber tires.
  • Display stand to display the aircraft "in flight".
