The Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental registered as D-ABYA is the very first aircraft (serial number 37827) of the passenger version of the 747-8, delivered to Lufthansa in May 2012. Nicknamed “Brandenburg,” it is the flagship and emblem of the German airline’s long-haul fleet. The aircraft is in active service and continues to operate the premium routes of the airline’s network, supported by Lufthansa’s ongoing investments to modernize its cabins.
