Founded in 1929 as Inter-Island Airways, Hawaiian Airlines is the oldest and largest airline in the State of Hawaii. As part of the Alaska Air Group, it operates out of its main hub at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu. It serves nearly two dozen domestic (U.S. mainland) and international (Asia, Oceania) destinations in addition to its extensive inter-island network. The Airbus A330-200 with registration number N360HA is a long-haul aircraft operated by Hawaiian Airlines. Delivered directly from the Airbus facilities in Toulouse in June 2016, it is configured to carry approximately 278 passengers. This aircraft primarily serves routes connecting the Hawaiian archipelago to major cities in North America and Asia. It was named “Tutukamolehonua” in keeping with Hawaiian Airlines’ tradition of naming its A330s after Polynesian constellations.
