Air North, the Yukon-based airline founded in 1977, serves northern Canada and operates charter flights with a strong local identity. It is 49% owned by the Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation of Old Crow. Its fleet has evolved from Cessnas and Douglas DC-3s/DC-4s to Hawker Siddeley 748s, then to classic Boeing 737s (400/500), and, more recently, to Boeing 737-800 “Next Generation” aircraft. It is known for its free hot meals and attentive service, even on short flights.

The Boeing 737-800 C-FNYA (MSN 37960, built in 2011) joined the fleet in late 2024, offering 174 seats, improved fuel efficiency, and modern comfort. It features Indigenous artwork on the tail and is used for direct routes, such as Whitehorse–Toronto, and to modernize the fleet by replacing the 737-400/500s.
