Air Inuit Boeing 737-800C – C-FTUW – CModel 1:400 – C0061

A world-first aircraft born in Quebec to serve Canada's North!  The Air Inuit Boeing 737-800NG Combi C-FTUW represents a major milestone in Canadian aviation history, becoming the world's first Boeing 737-800NG specially configured to carry passengers and main-deck cargo simultaneously.

Founded in 1978 by the Inuit of Nunavik, Air Inuit is wholly owned by the Makivvik Corporation. Since its creation, the airline has played an essential role in connecting Nunavik's 14 coastal communities with southern Quebec, carrying passengers as well as food, mail and essential freight to communities where aviation is a vital lifeline.

C-FTUW is at the heart of Air Inuit's ambitious fleet modernization program. Acquired as part of a program involving three Boeing 737-800NG aircraft, it underwent an extensive conversion in collaboration with KF Aerospace. A large main-deck cargo door was installed and the interior was completely redesigned specifically for the demanding realities of northern operations.

The result is a truly unique aircraft. The 737-800NG Combi can accommodate up to 90 passengers while carrying five cargo pallets in a dedicated forward main-deck cargo compartment. It also introduces modern avionics, improved fuel efficiency, enhanced passenger comfort and Starlink high-speed Wi-Fi.

Following certification by Transport Canada, C-FTUW officially entered service on January 13, 2026, operating the Montréal–Kuujjuaq route, establishing a world first and opening a new chapter in air transportation for Nunavik.

Recreated in 1:400 scale by CModel, this miniature represents much more than a Boeing 737 wearing the colors of a Quebec airline. It celebrates a Canadian aviation innovation specifically engineered for the unique challenges of the North.

The world's first 737-800NG Combi, operated by an airline owned by the Inuit of Nunavik: C-FTUW has already earned its place in Canadian aviation history. An essential collectible for Air Inuit, Boeing, Quebec and Canadian aviation enthusiasts.
