The Boeing Company is an American multinational corporation that designs, manufactures, and sells airplanes, rotorcraft, rockets, satellites, and missiles worldwide. The company also provides leasing and product support services.

Boeing 767-200 N767BA was the very first 767 produced, rolling off the line on 4 August 1981 and making its maiden flight on 26 September 1981. Initially a prototype for testing the new twin-aisle design, it later served as an Airborne Surveillance Testbed for the U.S. Army, equipped with a large dorsal sensor pod for infrared and optical tracking. Over its career, N767BA contributed to avionics, flight control, and systems development for the 767 family. The aircraft flew its final mission on 20 September 2003, was deregistered in 2007, and eventually retired to Victorville, California, for scrapping.
