Boeing EA-18G Growler

A46-301, 6th Sqn., RAAF, 2025  (w/2 x AIM-9 & 2 x NGJ)

Hobby Master 1:72 HA5162

The Boeing EA-18G Growler A46-301 of No. 6 Squadron, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) represents one of the most sophisticated electronic warfare aircraft in service today and a major strategic capability for Australian air power.

Derived from the F/A-18F Super Hornet, the Growler combines the performance of a modern fighter with specialized systems designed to detect, identify, and jam hostile radar and communications. It can accompany strike packages into heavily defended environments while supporting the suppression of enemy air defenses.

Australia holds a special place in the Growler story, with the RAAF becoming the first air force outside the U.S. Navy to operate the EA-18G. The aircraft are operated by No. 6 Squadron from RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland, providing Australia with one of the world’s most advanced airborne electronic attack capabilities.

A46-301 is represented here in its 2025 configuration, carrying two AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles and, most significantly, two NGJ (Next Generation Jammer) pods. These advanced pods represent a major leap forward in the Growler’s electronic attack capability, providing substantially improved jamming performance over earlier-generation systems.

Recreated in 1:72 scale by Hobby Master, HA5162 captures the Growler’s distinctive profile, specialized electronic warfare equipment, and impressive operational configuration with exceptional display presence.

Growler + RAAF + Next Generation Jammer: a cutting-edge electronic attack aircraft built for the modern battlefield. An essential collectible for modern military aviation, RAAF, and Hobby Master enthusiasts.
