ZS-RSF
Designed to serve as a troop transport, medical evacuation and cargo aircraft, the C-130 Hercules first flew on August 23, 1954. Built by Lockheed and capable of carrying over 40,000 pounds of payload , this four-engine turboprop aircraft is probably the most versatile tactical transport available. Its modern roles include air transport and air drop, electronic surveillance, search and rescue, space capsule recovery, refueling of helicopters and air attack. Capable of taking off and landing on unprepared runways, the C-130 even landed and took off from a support bridge without benefit of stopping equipment or catapults.
