The Willys Jeep was the original version of what would later become one of the most iconic vehicles in American history, evolving into a popular civilian vehicle that is still produced today. The Jeep Willys was a compact four-wheel-drive vehicle that quickly became one of the most prolific vehicles of the Second World War. Over 640,000 standardized versions were produced, and a further 8,690 were built over a four-year period.
