One of the most famous aircraft in the history of flight, the "Spirit of St Louis" was built with a single aim in mind, to carry its intrepid pilot Charles Lindbergh on a first pioneering solo non-stop cross-Atlantic flight from New York to Paris. Completing the hazardous flight on 20th May 1927, Lindbergh secured his unique place in aviation history.

Designed by Claude Ryan specifically for Charle's Lindbergh's solo flight from New York to Paris, the NYP was first flown in early May, 1927.
