Malaysia Airlines (MAS) is the national airline of Malaysia. It operates domestic and international flights to five continents from its hubs at Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Kota Kinabalu International Airport. The disappearance of Malaysia Airlines flight 370 on March 8, 2014, shortly after takeoff from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, bound for Beijing, China, was that of a Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 with 239 people on board, which air traffic control suddenly lost track of over the South China Sea.
