Sukhoi Su‑27UB Flanker‑C

Designed by the Soviet Union to rival Western fourth-generation fighters such as the McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle, the Sukhoi Su-27 made its maiden flight on May 20, 1977.

This large twin-engine fighter, capable of exceeding Mach 2, marked a major technological leap as one of the first Soviet aircraft equipped with an operational fly-by-wire system, greatly enhancing control and maneuverability at high speeds.
