British Airways was founded in 1974 following the merger of the British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC) and British European Airways (BEA).
Privatized in 1987, it is now one of the most profitable international airlines. It is also a founding member of the Oneworld alliance.

Entering service in July 2019, the fleet’s first A350-1000 (G-XWBA) can accommodate 331 passengers, distributed across 56 Club Suites, 56 Premium Economy seats, and 219 Economy seats. Designed for comfort, it is equipped with the “Airspace” cabin, offering an optimized cabin altitude, pleasant ambient lighting, and a notably low noise level. The Club Suite, introduced on this aircraft (1-2-1 configuration), guarantees every business class passenger direct aisle access, a door for added privacy, and a fully flat bed. In terms of performance, the aircraft is powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines, which reduce fuel consumption and emissions, notably with 30% fewer nitrogen oxides compared to industry standards.
