Lufthansa’s Boeing 747-8i, registered D-ABYT and nicknamed “Yankee Tango,” is a modern passenger aircraft featuring a special retro livery from the 1970s (white top, gray belly, blue stripe) to celebrate the airline’s heritage. Introduced around 2015, this aircraft is a mainstay of the long-haul fleet. It is equipped with fuel-efficient GE GEnx engines, redesigned wings, and a capacity of approximately 364 to 467 passengers depending on the configuration
