Sikorsky HH-60J Jayhawk
Designed as a better, more reliable replacement for the Huey UH-1, the Black Hawk UH-60 was flow on November 29, 1974. The Black Hawk was one of the first aircraft to use the General Electric T700, a common turbine engine designed to be used in several army helicopters. This mid-lift, twin-engine twin-engine has a low-profile shape to be transported aboard the C-130 Hercules. It also has a greater survivability than the helicopter it replaced, with advanced avionics and electronic systems such as GPS (Global Positioning System). The Black Hawk also serves Marine One during the transport of the President of the United States.
