If the 190 was the embodiment of a discreet and classic car, the EVO2 version quickly evolved into a more aggressive style. Introduced in March 1990, it revolutionized the sports sedan genre. The wise German began to make waves, becoming aggressive and even impressive with its huge adjustable spoiler that seemed to have been ripped out of a Ferrari F40. It adopted 17-inch wheels, wing flare, a front wing and an aerodynamic flat bottom to achieve an excellent 0.30 air penetration coefficient. Performance matched the sporty look of the car with a 4-cylinder engine developing 235 horsepower, propelling the Mercedes to 248 km/h.
