Douglas AD-4 Skyraider  French Air Force EC 2/20 Quarsenis, Algeria, 1960s 

In 1959 using the US Military Assistance Program the Armee de l'Air (AA, the French Air Force) was able to obtain ninety three used USN Skyraiders made up of AD-4N, AD-4NA and a few AD-4. The purpose of this acquisition was combat insurgents in Algeria, a French colony until 1962. In 1965 some of these Skyraiders were sent to Cambodia. Skyraider F-TFQT code 20-QT was delivered on September 8, 1961. In 1963 20-QT was sent to EAA 601 (Air Force warehouse) Chateaudun AB and withdrawn from use.

Douglas AD-4 Skyraider
Designed by Ed Heinemann, Douglas' chief engineer, the A1 was first used on March 18, 1945. Used in Vietnam for close air support and to cover combat rescue missions, the Skyraider was appreciated for its ability to devastate enemy ground targets. It had four 20 mm guns installed in the wings and could be equipped with additional combinations of bombs, mines, nacelles and rockets. The Skyraider was large for a single-engine single-engine single-engine single-seater single-seater single-seater single-seater, its larger than average fuselage had plenty of room for modifications and could be used to carry
