PIA- Pakistan International Airlines Boeing 747-300 / AP-BFV

Inflight 200 / 1:200 / IF743PIA0826

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is Pakistan's flag carrier, founded in 1955 following the merger of the assets of Orient Airways. It operates a fleet of approximately 32 aircraft, serving destinations in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America. Its main hubs are located at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi (primary hub), as well as in Lahore and Islamabad. In the 1960s, PIA built an excellent global reputation. It was the first Asian airline to operate a jet aircraft (the Boeing 707) in 1960. It was also the first airline from a non-communist country to fly to the People’s Republic of China in 1964. During its heyday, PIA collaborated with leading designers, such as Pierre Cardin, for its flight crew uniforms. It also helped establish and train staff for airlines that are now industry giants, such as Emirates in the 1980s. The airline began a privatization process, which culminated in the transfer of ownership to the private consortium Arif Habib Limited in 2026.

The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Boeing 747-367 (registration AP-BFV) was built in 1986 for Cathay Pacific and transferred to PIA in 1989; it was powered by four Rolls-Royce RB211-524C2 engines. The aircraft had a long career that came to a tragic end on June 8, 2014, at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi when it was targeted by heavily armed militants. The Boeing 747 was severely damaged by gunfire and shrapnel. Declared a “total loss” and beyond repair, the aircraft was taken out of service by PIA.

The Inflight 200 series includes collector's models designed for collectors by collectors.

  • Realistic panel lines, access panels and surface details.

  •  Printed markings and closets that do not fade or peel like stickers.

  • Display stand to display the aircraft "in flight".
